About Holly
Holly Wheeler Gafford is 25 years old, married and the mother of two little girls; Kalee, aged four years and Elora, aged two years. She comes by her artistic ability, naturally, being the daughter of an artist mother and a writer father. Additionally, since her mother teaches Art, she was encouraged to draw and paint almost all of her life.
The Sculpture interests developed only recently after seeing some of the items being sold over the Internet, as well as some very very nice pieces which had been done by other artistic dog people. It encouraged her to be "creative" one day while her girls were napping. Her first attempt, made from working with clay purchased at Wal-Mart, resulted in family encouragement to pursue this interest and develope what is obviously a natural talent. The first items on this site are her first three "attempts" at capturing the essence of the Chinese Crested dog in two different mediums (clay and water color); a breed she has recently been exposed to due to the fact that her mother in law raises them, and her children got a Powder Puff puppy for Christmas, from Grandma.
